Carthage, IL – Thursday, August 27, 2020– On July 31st, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released their annual patient experience ratings for hospitals nationwide. The federal administrator of the nation’s major healthcare programs assigned a patient experience star rating to 3,478 hospitals based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores collected in 2019. Of the 3,478 hospitals rated, Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois is one of only 266 hospitals to have achieved a five star rating. This equates to the prestigious standing of ranking in the top 8% of hospitals nationwide.

Memorial Hospital is proud to acknowledge that they are the only hospital in the region to possess this five star rating. Memorial Hospital is also one of only twelve Illinois hospitals to have obtained this level of excellence and patient satisfaction.
