Organizations to maintain relationship

August 12, 2019

UnityPoint Health and Memorial Hospital in Carthage, IL have chosen to change their partnership to better serve the needs of the community.

Memorial Hospital will enter into a management services agreement in which UnityPoint Health will provide access to technology and other back office functions that support care delivery. This gives leaders and care teams additional tools to provide high quality care to patients and communities. This relationship between Memorial Hospital and UnityPoint Health is similar to the relationship between UnityPoint Health and 18 other hospitals throughout Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin.

“We will continue to care for patients as we have always done in the past,” says Memorial Hospital CEO, Ada Bair. “The management services agreement gives us flexibility to serve our rural community’s changing needs,” adds Bair.

Memorial Hospital is dedicated to improving health by providing education and wellness programs and innovative services at all the stages of life.  Memorial Hospital is a 501(c)(3), non-profit critical access hospital which employs over 200 people, offers emergency, surgical, imaging (x-ray), laboratory, obstetrics, and includes seven clinics throughout the region, specialty clinics and much more. The hospital has served the residents of the Hancock County area since 1950. For more information, find us on the web at www.mhtlc.org.
