Gender:

Female

Professional History:

Board Certified: Yes
Certifications:

Education:

Master of Social Work (MSW), University of Saint Mary (May 2026)

Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Illinois (Active since November 2023)

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), MacMurray College (May 2017)

Hobbies:

I enjoy being outside in nature, especially on our family farm or in my favorite state, TN, where me and my family like to hike and look for bears (safely of course). I love to landscape as it brings me the most peace unless I am on a softball field playing in a league or coaching travel softball and a local league.

Clinical Interests:

I have clinical interests in trauma-informed care, particularly working with children and families. I am also interested in crisis intervention, attachment-based approaches, and utilizing various therapy skills to support emotional regulation, build resilience, and encourage self-advocacy. I have 10+ years of experience working with those who struggle with emotional dysregulation, impulsivity/hyperactivity, depression, anxiety, life adjustment concerns, and attachment/abandonment difficulties.

Additional Information:

Biography:

I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of IL since November 2023, but I have been in social services for 10+ years. Within these years, I have gained mental and behavioral health experience as well as specialized training of which I am confident in working with youth and adults who have been impacted by trauma. In a professional setting, I have also volunteered since September 2023 as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in the Hancock County judicial system to be a voice for children who have been abused/neglected

Personal Statement:

I chose the social work profession so I can help provide support to others, lift them up when they feel knocked down, teach them tools, provide resources to learn how to self-advocate and feel confident in doing so. I want to continue to be a part of the positive change this world needs; more love, peace, and support for one another. I am determined and feel very passionate about helping others be the best version of themselves.
