I love to be outdoors! I enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, camping, and being on the water. I am a lifelong learner and treasure opportunities to learn new skills and concepts.  also really enjoy a good power nap.

I use strengths and systems-based approaches in my practice, with a focus on trauma-informed care. I implement a variety of treatment modalities tailored to my clients’ needs, including CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, play interventions, art, and nature. I am passionate about helping children who have experienced developmental trauma/ attachment issues and families navigating how to support them. I also have training in crisis intervention and suicide assessment.

I have over 30 years of experience working with children and families across a variety of roles, as well as raising three children of my own. I have been a registered nurse since 2009, providing public health-based care as a school nurse and health department nurse/health educator. My public health background and many lived experiences have given me a distinctive understanding of the mental health needs in our area and have enabled me to work with diverse populations. My strengths include a strong sense of empathy and the unique ability to recognize and cultivate the potential in others. One of my greatest joys is seeing someone make progress, even just a little.

I see all children, adolescents, and families in my rural area having access to high-quality, affordable mental health services that improve the health, well-being, and connectedness of the communities served.
