Biography:

I was born and raised in Hancock County Illinois on a small farm near Fountain Green. I attended La Harpe Elementary School and graduated from Illini West High School in 2013. After high school I attended the University of Illinois in Chicago, where I studied engineering and pre-medicine. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree I returned to Hancock County where I began delving into experiences in patient care and public health. While working as a patient care technician for Keokuk Area Hospital I obtained my Master of Science in Health Sciences/Public Health from Western Illinois University. Unfortunately, during that same time the country was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. This led me into working for a few different initiatives tackling the COVID-19 response including assisting the health department with their vaccination clinics and working for the CDC Foundation to assist regional hospitals and clinics in properly implementing their vaccination programs. As the pandemic was improving, I went back to school and obtained my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies focusing on family and rural medicine.

Personal Statement:

As a family medicine provider my goal is to help my patients achieve their greatest quality of life through each of life’s stages. My approach to medicine focuses on the importance of preventative care and in working with patients to develop treatment plans that are appropriate and agreeable to the patient.
