For the sixth consecutive year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has honored Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois, with a 5-star rating for patient satisfaction.
This 5-star designation is based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores. The CMS rating system places five stars at the highest rating.
“Our team’s commitment to providing exceptional care truly sets us apart,” said Ada Bair, Chief Executive Officer at Memorial Hospital and Hancock County Senior & Childcare Services. “Earning a 5-star rating is an incredible achievement, but maintaining that distinction for six consecutive years is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our staff. Their compassion and pursuit of excellence shine through in every patient interaction.”
The HCAHPS survey gives patients an important opportunity to share their hospital experiences directly with CMS. These responses not only help shape national quality ratings like the 5-star designation but also guide Memorial Hospital in continually enhancing care, communication, and patient satisfaction.
