Memorial Hospital is proud to announce that Sheridan Voshake, Laboratory Manager, has earned Green Belt Certification through The Joint Commission, the nation’s leading healthcare accreditation and performance improvement organization.
Voshake was selected to participate in the Joint Commission’s Green Belt Certification Training Program through an opportunity made available by the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) Flex Grant Program. The grant, available exclusively to Critical Access Hospitals, covered registration costs and allowed a select group of hospital professionals across Illinois to complete the intensive certification program.
The Joint Commission’s High Reliability Green Belt Certification Training Program equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools to apply Robust Process Improvement® (RPI®) principles to improve patient safety, quality, and operational performance. The program also combines change management strategies to help healthcare organizations identify root causes of complex challenges, implement sustainable solutions, and make informed, data-driven decisions that benefit both patients and staff.
The certification reflects Memorial Hospital’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of excellence throughout the organization. By investing in advanced process improvement training, Memorial Hospital continues to strengthen its ability to provide safe, efficient, and high-quality care for the communities it serves.
