Memorial Hospital proudly announces its exceptional rating from Becker’s Hospital Review, earning a 5-star rating for nurse communication. This respected ranking highlights the hospital’s commitment to fostering effective communication practices within its healthcare environment.
Becker’s Hospital Review, a renowned healthcare publication, has ranked Memorial Hospital among the top 529 hospitals nationwide for nurse communication, earning a prestigious 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This recognition is based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, which evaluates how effectively nurses communicate with patients—including clarity, attentive listening, and respectful care.
The data, collected from October 2023 to September 2024 and released in August 2025, reflects the outstanding dedication of Memorial’s nursing team to patient-centered communication. Being included on Becker’s list of top hospitals for nurse communication is a testament to Memorial Hospital’s commitment to service excellence and the positive impact staff have on patient experiences.
“Our 5-star communication rating is a reflection of the unwavering dedication our nurses show every day. Our patients deserve the best compassion, clarity, and exceptional care in every interaction. Excellence in nursing care isn’t our goal, it’s our standard!” Raigan Brown, Chief Nursing Officer
As a reminder, filling out an HCAHPS survey is crucial for hospitals aiming to achieve a 5-star rating. Having patients complete these surveys also helps foster a culture of continuous improvement within the hospital, ensuring that patient experiences and satisfaction remain a priority.
