Memorial Hospital’s Health & Wellness Center is excited to introduce the Summer Breakfast Club Teaching Kitchen Series, a fun and interactive opportunity led by Registered Dietitians Julie Harrell and Jennifer Soucie, designed to get 2nd- to 4th-grade students in the kitchen and build confidence through cooking.
This three-part series will take place on June 3, July 2, and August 6 from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the Memorial Hospital Teaching Kitchen located at the Health & Wellness Center, 1454. N. County Road 2050, Carthage, IL. Each session will focus on creating delicious, kid-friendly breakfast favorites while teaching essential kitchen skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Open to students entering grades 2-4, the Breakfast Club series encourages hands-on learning, creativity, and healthy habits—all while having fun. Each class is limited to 10 participants to ensure a personalized experience. The cost is $30 per child, per session. Families may register their children for one or multiple classes using a single online registration form.
“This series is all about building confidence and creating positive experiences in the kitchen,” said Julie Harrell, Registered Dietitian. “We want kids to feel excited about cooking and proud of what they create.”
Spots are limited and expected to fill quickly. Early registration is encouraged. To sign up, visit MHTLC.ORG or call 217-357-6540 for more information.
