Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics would like to remind patients to carefully review their healthcare coverage options during the upcoming Medicare Open Enrollment period, which runs now until December 7. While Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics are not in network with all Medicare Advantage Plans, a variety of other insurance plans are accepted, which can be found at MHTLC.ORG. Please note that appointments cannot be scheduled for patients covered under out-of-network Medicare Advantage Plans.
“Choosing the right coverage can be confusing, but it’s an important decision,” said Teresa Smith, Chief Financial Officer at Memorial Hospital. “Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics want patients to have the information they need to make the best choice for their healthcare. Patients who wish to continue receiving care at Memorial are encouraged to confirm that their selected plan includes Memorial within its network before enrolling.”
Patients can determine whether Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics are in network with a Medicare Advantage Plan by providing the following Tax ID information to the insurance plan under consideration:
- Memorial Hospital: 37-0684691
- Memorial Medical Clinics: 37-0684691
Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics are not authorized to assist with Medicare enrollment decisions. However, for patients who choose to enroll in an out-of-network Medicare Advantage Plan, the organization will assist by transferring medical records to the patient’s next in-network provider.
Patients are encouraged to keep their coverage information current. Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics accept Medicare (Parts A and B)—often referred to as “Traditional Medicare”—as well as supplemental Medicare plans. Patients are encouraged to learn more about their Medicare options by visiting MEDICARE.GOV, calling 1-800-MEDICARE, or contacting a State Helth Insurance Assistance Program at 1-877-839-2675. Please ensure you are contacting a reliable insurance company when seeking coverage information.
