Job Title: Clinic Quality Coordinator
Hours: M-F, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Summary:
Works to support the Director of Clinic Quality in developing, maintaining, and implementing plans to achieve quality improvement goals through the use of data analytics, collaboration, and education of the clinical team.
Job Specifications:
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Clinical experience and direct patient care in the outpatient setting, for example, Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Medical Assistant
- Strong mathematical skills
Pertinent Skills Required:
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and accuracy.
- Computer and electronic medical record skills. A knowledge of Epic, and the related workflows, would be ideal.
- Competency in Word and Excel.
- The ability to meet deadlines, while often managing several at one time.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Director of Clinic Quality and other team members to provide successful work with the Accountable Care Organization (ACO).
- Attains knowledge and understanding of the requirements for all Clinic Quality Measures and their corresponding desired goal percentages.
- Runs monthly quality Dashboard reports in Epic, Memorial’s electronic medical record.
- Audits monthly quality reports for compliance and/or to troubleshoot issues brought to the attention of the Clinic Quality Department.
- Identifies areas in need of improvement and works as a team with the Director of Clinic Quality and/or other departments to problem solve and provide viable solutions. Assists with the education of clinical staff on the identified solutions.
- Creates and/or revises meaningful reports related to Clinic Quality Measures.
- Attends and contributes to monthly ACO meetings and the larger quarterly ACO meetings.
- Produces written processes and policies, if applicable, of workflows of the Clinic Quality Department.
- Compiles and distributes ACO reports, such as Blue Cross Blue Shield Care Gap Reports, to the clinical teams and provides staff support and follow-up as needs arise.
- Occasionally travels to the various Memorial clinics for meetings or as needed for educational purposes.
- Assists the Director of Clinic Quality with yearly reports, such as the Merit-Based Incentive Based Payment System (MIPS).
- Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance while representing Memorial Hospital, clinics, or the Clinic Quality Department and shows pride in department accomplishments and accountability for nonachievements.
- Participates in Service Excellence initiatives at the organizational and/or departmental level.
- Given this is a new position within a newer department, the Clinic Quality Coordinator will assist in growing and making improvements within the Clinic Quality Department, which may result in changes in Primary Job Responsibilities.
