Wage Range: $30.00/hour – $33.00/hour

Job Summary:
Performs a variety of testing, therapies, and treatments for use in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary-related diseases. Responsible for initiating and maintaining equipment and routine office procedures. Takes “leave word” and maintains certification through N.B.R.C. and licensure through the State of Illinois. Works with patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Administers routine cardiopulmonary modalities.
- Administers and maintains high-risk cardiopulmonary modalities, e.g., ventilator management, ABG’s, and CPR.
- Conducts and participates in pulmonary function testing, holter monitor application and analysis, stress tests (including nuclear stress test), event monitor application, Cardiac Rehab and Sleep Lab.
- Administers oxygen and monitors patients through the use of pulse oximetry.
- BIPAPP/CPAP administration and support.
- Performs patient evaluations and directly communicates with the physicians and nurses on direct patient care.
- Appropriate and complete documentation of all procedures/tests administered.
- Maintains accurate department records.
- Participates in equipment decontamination and reprocessing procedures.
- Monitors utilization of department equipment by patients in all areas of the hospital.
- Participates in educational programs as outlined in the Cardiopulmonary Department Education Plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Completed program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Respiratory Care
- Licenses CRT or RRT with State of Illinois (or eligible to transfer licensure)
- Active BLS
- Active ACLS
