Memorial Hospital is proud to announce that its Diagnostic Imaging Department has been awarded a three-year accreditation in mammography by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This designation recognizes the department’s commitment to the highest standards of image quality, patient care, and safety.
The ACR accreditation is considered the gold standard in medical imaging. It is only granted to facilities that meet rigorous standards following a peer-review evaluation by board-certified radiologists and medical physicists. The assessment includes image quality, personnel qualifications, equipment performance, and quality control procedures.
“This accreditation reflects the dedication and expertise of our imaging team,” said Jill Schlatter, Director of Diagnostic Imaging. “We are deeply committed to providing patients with exceptional care and ensuring that our technology and practices meet the highest levels of excellence. Most importantly, we want our patients to feel confident and supported when they come in for their screenings.”
Promoting Early Detection During Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Memorial Hospital encourages all eligible individuals to schedule their annual mammogram, as early detection remains one of the most effective ways to fight breast cancer. As part of this month’s awareness efforts, patients who receive their mammogram during October will receive a complimentary Breast Cancer Awareness Month–themed gift, symbolizing the community’s shared commitment to prevention and hope.
“Early detection saves lives,” added Schlatter. “Getting screened is an act of self-care and empowerment. We invite our community to take that step for themselves and for the ones they love.” To schedule your appointment, please call 217-357-8660 or visit MHTLC.ORG to learn more.
