Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Dusts furniture, cleans and sanitizes doors, walls, windows, window sills, and floors daily.
2. Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors and walls of bathrooms and showers.
3. Uses and/or wears the proper safety equipment and uses universal precautions at all times.
4. Corrects unsafe conditions when found.
5. Notes needed repairs and communicates them to appropriate people.
6. Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials in accordance with specified procedures regarding bags, containers, biohazard and infection control practices.
7. Vacuums or wet/dry mops rooms, offices, halls. Stairways and public areas as assigned.
8. Cleans all departments and assigned areas daily which include visitor areas, waiting rooms, offices and other support areas.
