Description

To manage and direct all aspects of a foodservice operation serving an elderly population living in a supportive and assisted living community

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1.      Interviews tenants and family members of the community to discuss the meal service and determine special needs as applicable.

2.      Provides basic nutrition education related to specific disease conditions and allergies as identified by the registered dietitian.

3.      Completes appropriate progress notes in the medical record of interaction with tenants.

4.      Completes meal observations daily and plate waste studies on a regular basis.

5.      Reviews and develops menus for daily and special event meals using a menu program and independently in compliance with applicable regulations.

6.      Conducts inventory and prepares orders to obtain adequate supplies preparation of daily menu in each community.

7.      Conducts routine meetings and in-service education with staff to enhance knowledge and promote a positive working environment

8.      Reviews recipes and production methods for preservation of nutritional value, safety and presentation.

Clinic Medical Assistant/LPN

Description
This is a clinical practitioner who participates in providing patient care. He/she is able to implement and evaluate patient care specific to the age of the patient population served from newborn to the elderly. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. He/she demonstrated performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing system; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Acts as a patient advocate at all times. To assist the primary provider in all professional and clinical procedures. Clinical procedures shall include phlebotomy, performing EKG's, urinalysis, injections, and taking and recording patient vital signs.

Description

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who assesses, coordinates, implements and evaluates patient care specific to the age of the patient population served from newborn to geriatrics.  He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit’s standards of care.  He/she demonstrated performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing system; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, providers, patients and families with consideration and respect.  Acts as a patient advocate at all times.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1.      Obtains and records initial assessment and establishes priorities according to patient age, symptoms, psychological and spiritual needs.

2.      Will take and record vital signs. A brief description of the patients complaint/condition and record this information on the patient’s chart.

3.      Will assist, when directed in performing phlebotomy tests, EKGs, urinalysis, injections and administer and monitor IV solutions/medications.

4.      Will ensure that the office hours are maintained and the public is notified of any variance.

5.      Supports the policies and procedures and administrative decision within the clinic.

6.      Makes comprehensive nursing decisions based on the interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcome.

Description

The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing personal care to the residents. Personal care includes assistance with meals, dressing, movement, and bathing. The CNA follows established facility policies and procedures while providing care and coordinates resident care with other facility personnel and families.

The Maternal Newborn Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who assesses, coordinates, implements and evaluates patient care specific to female patients age menarche to menopause in the ante partum period, labor, delivery, post partum and to newborn infants.

Description

Prepare and serve meals in a sanitary manner to preserve nutritional quality, comply with diet orders and meet the needs of the facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meal items as ordered or directed that are safe, nutritious, of appropriate temperature and according to therapeutic diet guidelines.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work area and equipment. Completes assigned cleaning in a timely manner.
  • Clean and sanitize dishes and utensils.
  • Completes temperature checks and records on daily log sheet.
  • Plans and prepares entrees for cafeteria patrons and special events.
  • Wait on customers in the cafeteria as needed.
  • Receives, rotates and stores frozen foods in designated areas.

Phlebotomist

Description

Collects blood from patients, checks quality of specimen and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of patients following established standards and practices. Flexible schedule. Work every Sunday and during the week as needed. Start times could be 6:00, 7:00, 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. Employees switch off - not a set schedule.

Assists the Controller in managing the Accounting Functions of Memorial Hospital (MH), Hancock County Senior Services (HCSS) and Hickory Grove (HG).
