Clinic Medical Assistant/LPN

Description
This is a clinical practitioner who participates in providing patient care. He/she is able to implement and evaluate patient care specific to the age of the patient population served from newborn to the elderly. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. He/she demonstrated performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing system; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Acts as a patient advocate at all times. To assist the primary provider in all professional and clinical procedures. Clinical procedures shall include phlebotomy, performing EKG's, urinalysis, injections, and taking and recording patient vital signs.

Description
The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing personal care to the residents. Personal care includes assistance with meals, dressing, movement, and bathing. The CNA follows established facility policies and procedures while providing care and coordinates resident care with other facility personnel and families.

Laboratory Administrative Director

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology/Medical Technology with 3 – 5 years post degree full time laboratory experience.
  2. Preferred Master’s Degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited college or university.
  3. Successful completion of the NCA/ASCP/AMT registry exam.
Description
Coordinates a wide variety of administrative, fiscal, and technical activities to ensure efficient operation of the Laboratory Department. Responsible for the negotiation of all laboratory related agreements and contracts. Responsible for the selection of the laboratory’s reference laboratory. Responsible for maintaining and promoting the Laboratory’s role as an integral part of the hospital’s services.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  1. Develops and implements, with staff input, department goals, and objectives, and participates in the selection and recommendation of resources needed to provide new services and meet goals of the department.
  2. Designs a system to continuously assess and improve the performance of services provided.
  3. Develops and Maintains Laboratory budget.
  4. Monitors and evaluates compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations including CAP and CLIA.
  5. Prepares, directs, and maintains required records, reports, logs, files and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes. Prepares periodic reports for senior management as required.
  6. Orients and identifies training needs and provides in-service training and continuing education for all individuals in the department to encourage professional and personal development.
  7. Recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to staff the department and participates in the selection of those hires.

Maternal Newborn Registered Nurse

Description
The Maternal Newborn Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who assesses, coordinates, implements and evaluates patient care specific to female patients age menarche to menopause in the ante partum period, labor, delivery, post partum and to newborn infants.

Pharmacy Director

Qualifications
Education Requirements:
  1. Graduate of American Council on Pharmaceutical Education College of Pharmacy with at least as Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree.
  2. Previous institutional pharmacy experience or other training and experience to ensure competence as an institutional Pharmacy Director.
  3. License and registration required by the State of Illinois.
  4. Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
Description
Provides leadership, direction, administration of activities, and overall management of the Pharmacy Department and its dispensing and clinical services. Establishes policies, procedures, standards, and objectives for the provision of services and coordinates with other departments to provide maximum level of services to patients and hospital staff. Ensures that the Pharmacy Department operations are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Memorial Hospital

Respiratory Therapist

Description
Will be on call 1 to 2 evenings per week.

Monday and Wednesday 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Friday 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Would be responsible for daily activities involving respiratory care, EKG's, assisting with stress tests and cardiac/pulmonary rehab.
